For some of you, your lives have just continued on from September 11th 2001 blissfully ignorant of real heroes like Martha Francis from Kentucky, USA.
For Mrs Francis, when she turned the television on to watch the attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center unfold after getting a tip-off from the mailman; she just couldn't believe her eyes.
"I never knew anybody who worked in the Pentagon or World Trade Center and I've never lived in New York or even been in my 56 years. I think Molly over the road once knew somebody who stopped working in the World Trade Center 3 years before the attacks. It must be a terrible time for them as being so close to the terrorist actions of that tanned, funny speaking beardy guy on TV."
The horror continued;
"I just sat shaking in front of the television news channels. I didn't even know if my husband was safe. I gave Jim an extra special hug when he arrived home from the gas works in the evening. He deserved it even though I had to endure the pain of telling him what had happened to our country, he didn't even know yet!"
Martha then sustained five months of counceling and heavy dosages of Anti-Depressants from a Dr. Habnap of Kentucky to help her overcome the terrible events that befell the US on that fateful day.
"I was so shaken up after wasting five months of my life talking to a shrink that I had a full mental breakdown and spent up until Christmas this year going through counceling for the awful way I emerged from the first counceling sessions". Mrs Francis added.
"I think I have experienced first hand the kind of mental anguish soldiers in the First and Second World Wars had to go through".
CMNN last heard that going into the new year, Martha was considering taking hypnosis classes to overcome her terrible nightmares of September 11th which would hopefully fix her brain.
God bless you Mrs Martha Francis, you brave soldier!
