Formula One bosses have today reacted with disgust towards the two most powerful men in the sport after new safety rules were unveiled by Bernie Ecclestone at a special press conference earlier today.
Mr Ecclestone stated, "Cars sometimes collided or came within inches of each other. In open-wheel races there was a chance somebody could get hurt."
He also expressed that large tyre barriers, harder cockpit structures, painfully slow corners and concrete run-off areas just weren't enough to make this high-speed sport safer.
